This is a sample of a morning newscast from NTV-TV (ABC affiliate) in Kearney, Nebraska. I did the morning cut-ins for a year for ABC’s Good Morning America show as well as the noon newscast. NTV’s coverage was Central Nebraska. I had to be there at 5AM which meant leaving Grand Island, where we lived and had our second radio station, at 4AM. I was usually off work at 2PM and often left a medical/health related news package to be run in the 5PM newscast. It was a great opportunity and I learned a lot!
Videos 2-4 are the national commercials I did for Columbia School of Broadcasting. At this point, I had only been doing radio…no TV work yet. It’s amazing I could do it at all! And what a weird feeling when we were on vacation in Hawaii and one of these came on the TV!
